XPS Polystyrene Foamboard Details
XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) Foamboard is manufactured from polystyrene with auxiliaries and foaming agents processed in an extruder. Through melt mixing, pressure control, and extrusion, the foaming agent gasifies to form a closed-cell structure with uniform small bubbles.
Compared to EPS, XPS foamboard offers higher compressive strength and superior water resistance, making it ideal for demanding thermal insulation applications. It is commonly used in roofing, wall cladding, flooring, foundation insulation, and cold storage facilities.
